UK Project Management Associate Director – Operations



We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our UK Project Management team, which sits within a vibrant Operations department, which delivered over 1,000 projects across all methodologies in 2014. The primary function of the role is to manage a team of project managers who are responsible for the pricing and delivery of UK tracking and ad-hoc studies across all methodologies. The Associate Director takes overall responsibility for the planning and setting up of UK projects, liaison with internal operational teams and suppliers and overseeing the successful execution of all surveys. They are also the main point of contact and escalation for internal stakeholders and external agencies.
The Associate Director oversees project set up, fieldwork schedules, questionnaire development (for external clients), script checking, resource allocation, fieldwork progress updates, quota management, data checking and data delivery for projects within their team.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
Responsibilities are to:
  • Manage bids as appropriate (i.e. support the development of the specification in conjunction with the research teams, collect, interrogate and present costs from suppliers and local Operations, provide supporting information for proposals)
  • Oversee the Project Management of medium to large scale tracking and ad-hoc projects 
  • Overall responsibility for project allocation, scheduling and resource management across all projects and operational teams, to ensure projects meet fieldwork deadlines
  • Provide technical and operational consultancy to the research teamsrovide technical and operational consultancy to the research teams
Technical skills:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of implementing various research methodologies (CATI, CAPI , CAWI)
  • Expertise in providing and implementing effective solutions to various research methodologies
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Client focused attitude – ability to actively manage and maintain strong relationships with colleagues in the Research teams
  • Well-developed decision making and priority setting
  • Commercially focused – with an understanding of pricing
  • Is Client Focused

  • Working effectively and efficiently with energy and drive
Typical education and work experience:
  • Graduate level degree (or equivalent)
  • Experience in Market Research Project / Field Management
