The Snr Product Manager assists the Business Group Manager/Head with the monthly data quality and reporting output of a well-defined list of product categories. The Snr Product Manager has full market and product knowledge, ensures maintenance and development of GfK panels and products and by doing so effectively sells and markets the company‘s services. The Snr Product Manager will service a well-defined list of clients and retailers whenever required, as specified by the Business Group Manager/Head.
§ Service Achievement of the revenue budget for a set list of clients.
§ Ensure all potential clients are identified and approached to maximise revenue potential.
§ Ensure that the data quality and deliverables are in line with GfK international standards and those standards set by the Commercial Head.
§ Responsible for the monthly data production via QC Project and Price Check on respective product categories.
§ Full market and product knowledge on all respective product categories. This includes details on coverage, universe and sample sizes, distribution channels and detailed market information.
§ Ensure satisfied clients by providing high level of client servicing, including in-depth presentations and consultancy.
§ Ensure that yearly data reconciliation are done with respective clients.
§ Responsible for retailer presentations as requested by the retail Department.
§ Follow the GfK Company strategy on all aspects of the business.
§ Responsible for building market knowledge through monthly post QC calls.
§ Excellent market knowledge on specific fields
§ Full knowledge on universe and sample
§ Stand-alone on market SWOT-analysis
§ Stand-alone with extrapolation
§ Able to set up product category and have input on extrapolations
§ Able to give client and retailer presentations
§ Full understanding of drivers in the market and ability to create stories using data
Experience and Qualification
§ Education: Related business degree ideally to honours level. Must be comfortable discussing a wide range of business topics with clients and using data to analyse markets.
§ Experience in assimilating large volumes of information quickly in a pressured situation in the context of brand and merchandise management. Previous market research competency will be beneficial, ideally 2-3 years in a consultancy position.
§ Previous exposure to managing people and leading teams will be beneficial and an important tool for the successful candidate.
§ A strong track record regarding business development and commercialisation will also be viewed positively.
