(Senior) HR Business Manager



As HR Manager you further build up and manage the HR function for GfK Australia. You act as a business partner to all stakeholders; with the aim to support building up a high performing organization, specifically through
• Supporting and driving the organizational development in line with company strategies and goals
• Driving effective strategic and hands-on HR business partnering with the business
• Co-develop and implement rewarding and employee engagement tools
• Ensuring global HR processes are implemented and lived at local level
• Having the managerial responsibility for one HR generalist
You can expect a dynamic, exciting, challenging and international area of responsibility, which offers a wide range of involvement and development opportunities. 
In this role, you report to the Managing Director of GfK Australia, as well as to the Regional HR Director for APAC.
Key activities include
• Set-up the local HR strategy derived from the global/regional strategy
• Establish excellent internal relationships with the local management and regional/global key stakeholders as well as with the employees
• Serve as a consulting generalist on all Human Resource related issues and ensure a high quality standard on all local HR processes
• Evaluate the current status of recruiting and propose adaptions to develop a business-orientated efficient recruitment process, strengthen GfK’s local employer branding
• Implement  attractive local career paths
• Plan and organize (and ideally conduct) trainings (internally and externally)
• Ensure development opportunities for GfK’s workforce
• Ensure compliance of HR processes according to GfK policies and local labour law
• Co-develop and implement rewarding and employee engagement tools
• Provide and maintain KPIs and HR reporting
Technical skills and competencies: 

• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, benefits, diversity, performance management, training and development, talent management, federal and state respective employment laws
• Ability to work strategically and in a matrix environment
• Strong drive to get things done (proactively)
• Ability to effectively coach and resolve sensitive and/or volatile issues in a confidential matter
• Ability to maintain positive relationships at all levels of the organization, while also advocating for an issue, management, employee and/or providing constructive feedback.
• Possess sound judgment and ability to resolve complex problems.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, moderation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues. 
• Team orientation 
• Proficiency in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Typical education and work experience:
• University degree
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a HR management role
• Experience in development and conduction of trainings
• Experience in consulting and coaching
• Experience in project management
• Working experience in a global Matrix organization
• Experience in organizational development and restructuring
