Retail Executive



An exciting position has become available in the Retail World division of GfK Middle East & Africa for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – with development opportunities towards the more commercial part of the business.
 Key tasks & responsibilities:
  • Independent cooperation with retailers in coordination with the Retail Manager.
  • Responsible for the recruitment of Key accounts across different shop types and sectors within the defined criteria, retail data security and confidentiality, according to GfK’s international rules and guidelines.
  • Preparation and conduction of presentations for retail cooperation partners under own responsibility following the retail guidelines.
  • Ensure full satisfaction of retail clients, through excellent level of service, adding value and reporting with tailored market information to clients’ needs
  • Train clients understanding of and usage of GfK data and services and marketing and create opportunity for Business development. Responsible for retail sales targets on specific services developed for Retail customers.
  • Negotiate fees and services, finalize and close contracts according to the Retail Service Policy with support of Retail Manager.
  • Implement international strategies for overall or designated retail accounts with new developments, ideas, guidelines or services on the local level.
  • Develop and implement new standardized or customized services for Retail Clients according to their requirements.
Technical skills:
  • Ability to understand and analyze data, with high attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Logical thinker, able to dissect and analyze client queries, an eye for detail.
  • Good understanding of research methodologies and usage.
  • Excellent knowledge & skills in PowerPoint and Excel are essential.
  • Able to use the local platform to run reports and charts.
 Interpersonal Skills
  • High energy, flexibility, problem solver and never give up attitude.
  • High level of Integrity to deal with confidential information and discussions sensitive to the business of GfK retail partners.
  • Excellent presentation, selling, negotiation
  • Interpersonal relationship and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
 Key Competencies:
  • English and Arabic Fluent Written and Oral language skills.
  • As the role potentially can grow into a more commercial direction, a commercial background is an advantage.
  • Extensive traveling within and outside the Kingdom might be expected.
Typical education and work experience:
  • Post-Graduation or MBA preferably in Marketing.
 Previous retail and/or commercial experience on Technical Consumer Goods is an advantage.
