Research Manager – BaCE



 GfK BaCE, part of GfK NOP, has a vacancy in its Customer Experience team.  The role will involve supporting an extensive refresh of 2 existing tracking programmes for a major international furniture retailer throughout 2015, most notably through the development of a combined report.
In addition to the above, the role will also entail managing quantitative ad-hoc research projects from inception to reporting; covering customer satisfaction and also brand performance within the market for a number of clients. There is also an opportunity to work on advertising evaluation projects within the team.
Candidates should have extensive experience of managing international ad-hoc and tracking work, covering questionnaire writing, project management, analysis and reporting. Attention to detail and delivering accurate reporting to deadlines is crucial. In addition to this, any experience with automated reporting would also be an advantage. The successful applicant will work with both Account Managers and Project Directors to understand client needs, manage expectations and build constructive relationships.

We need someone who is confident, intelligent and meticulous.  Key elements of the job are excellent project management skills, to provide data to the client accurately and on time, and to assist in the preparation and delivery of insightful and actionable presentations.
The successful candidate should have all of the usual MS skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and ideally should have knowledge of SPSS and other database tools. 
 The main requirements are:

  • Research agency experience, working on/running large scale international quantitative projects (particularly online)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with internal operations departments to meet deadlines and maintain quality
Relevant sector experience and automation/Visual Basic skills would be an advantage, but are not essential.
