TNS-BMRB is the leading social research agency, providing knowledge that helps Government, the private sector and the Third Sector plan and care for society. This important position within the qualitative team involves undertaking and managing a range of qualitative research projects on the behalf of UK policy makers.
The role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Research Co-ordinator to join our social and political research team at TNS BMRB, a division of TNS UK. As a Research Co-ordinator you will play a vital role in supporting the research team with administrative and project related tasks. 
Role and responsibilities:
  • Administrative support for research staff – e.g. making travel arrangements, helping to produce materials, managing files and documents, issuing equipment
  • Handling processes for starters and leavers
  • Drive capacity/space and Archiving systems
  • Managing subscriptions
  • Managing project mailboxes, letters and mail merges
  • Document formatting and proof reading
  • Supporting the team manager in liaising with subcontractors, IT, Facilities etc
  • On occasion: respondent recruitment and follow up

Knowledge and skills required:
Essential

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient user of PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Able to think laterally and independently
  • Able manage numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Able to recognise and solve problems quickly
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Being proactive and putting oneself forward; looking for ways to help the team
  • Attention to detail and taking pride in producing the best outputs possible
  • Building effective networks of internal and external relationships
