Project Manager, TNS



The successful coordination and delivery of continuous and ad hoc research projects that vary from the simple to complex multi country in nature. The successful delivery of these projects means efficient management, on time and to specification.
This role is accountable for ensuring the best application of the delivery process in coordinating the production of market research data into usable client output across a team. This role is therefore expected to optimise the running of projects through continuous process improvements, use of technology and good team management skills, including direct management of a project administrator
  • Manage Data Processing and Project Management teams
  • Allocate projects and tasks among team members and external suppliers taking into account type of task, available capacity and skills
  • Provide support for junior team members in more complex ad-hoc tasks
  • Ensure that final deliverables from data analysts are correct and complete
  • Audit current processes in DP using manual inputs and help to automate them
  • Provide Client Service team with expected results (tables, ppt, data)
  • Design and automate complex data transformations using scripts and macros
  • Be able to work with data coming from different sources (online, mobile, F2F, Desk Research)
  • Help to increase efficiency across the whole company by standardizing internal processes and developing automated solutions
  • Drive implementation of TNS online solutions & services (Qlib, Kantar Project, etc.)
  • Promote and develop TNS DP procedures and best practices in Ghana
  • Provide Field and QC departments with daily updates
  • Help Field department to solve data-related issues
  • Provide Field department with relevant specs to get accurate cost estimate
  • Advise on the most suitable methodology according to RfQ
  • Provide accurate and reality based costing in a timely matter
  • Ensure that final costs are transparent and rational
  • Provide periodic reporting to the region (WECA) for PM & DP departments
  • Liaise with external suppliers and manage good relations with them
  • Make sure external suppliers meet agreed quality standards 

Education and Experience:

•Ideally educated to degree level with knowledge of running projects in one or more types of industry
•Experience in delivering large or multi-country research projects
•Experience of managing end to end research projects
•Ideally a good understanding of FMCG or related marketing strategy
•Ideally formal training and qualification in a recognised Project Management methodology (e.g. Prince 2, PMI)
