 Detailed Description:
 The Health Actuary will bring both risk management and advanced statistical analytic capabilities to the MAHA team. S/he will function as an actuarial domain expert on client service teams. The Health Actuary will also independently drive analytic workstreams and provide expert insight to colleagues driving other workstreams. These will include quantitative analyses across the spectrum of claims, product, pricing, marketing and sales analytics, including segmentation, propensity modeling, funnel analysis, CLM, digital marketing, risk mix modeling and pricing.
Desired Skills
  • ASA designation with exceptional academic qualifications
  • 3-5 years of work experience driving business results.  Health insurance or Medicare experience is highly preferred
  • Significant experience with statistical software packages such as SAS, SPSS, R and database software packages such as SQL
  • Experience in segmentation analysis and world-class product pricing
  • Strong problem solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytic approaches (e.g., actuarial, statistical, data) to create meaningful and measurable business impact
  • Sound problem-solvers who can quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
  • Strong project management skills; flexibility and ability to manage multiple assignments in a dynamic, complex and fast-paced environment
  • Effective communicator with client management experience and ability to engage and influence business leaders and team members
  • Professional attitude and service orientation and dedicated team player
  • Willingness to travel
