McKinsey Solutions is looking for a talented and creative Solution Specialist to join our global organization in the United States. Our Solution Specialists are highly skilled consultants with superior analytical skills, program management experience, excellent problem-solving and communication skills and a solid understanding of data analysis.
As the expert in one or several solution domains, the Specialist bridges the gap between the clients’ challenging requirements and our applications.

Solutions are complementary to McKinsey consulting and offer a variety of support models to ensure our clients get exactly what they need. We work closely with client organizations to embed the tools and build their capabilities to sustain impact over time.
 
Responsibilities:
Solution Specialists are at the core of bridging client business challenges with the capabilities of our solutions and play a crucial part in packaging, configuring and deploying solutions.  Solution Specialists have two broad sets of responsibilities:
 1. Client Service (approx. 80%)
  • Work directly with clients, McKinsey client service teams and the Marketing Navigator team on a project-by-project basis to conduct hands-on rigorous quantitative analysis, leveraging primarily Marketing Navigator and relevant data management/statistics analysis software/tools. The focus will be on optimising commercial/marketing investment (MROI)
  • Advise McKinsey client service teams on analytical options to address their specific needs, including discussing potential analytical approaches to problems, associated costs/trade-offs, and recommendations
  • Translate input from quantitative analyses into specific and actionable business recommendations
  • Leverage the Marketing Navigator solution to support client service teams with best practice tools and techniques
  • Support the Marketing Navigator team in client development efforts with ad hoc analysis, problem solving on best analytical approach, and demonstrations based on (sanitized) client work
2. Knowledge and product development (approx. 20%)
  • Develop and maintain standard analytical models and analytical approaches that can be re-used across clients, as well as analysis cases/demos environments highlighting specific use cases
  • Develop and codify industry-level insights/knowledge
  • Run internal training programs on analytical approaches for consultants and experts
  • Support internal (Firm and practice) information requests
  • Over time, identify new areas of application/use cases of Marketing Navigator platform/database and help embedding these into the product platform
