Energy Insights is seeking a Manager for its Oil & Gas Benchmarking team in Houston. In this role, you will lead client studies, support business development and develop insights using McKinsey’s unparalleled proprietary data, robust methodologies and specialist expertise. This is a full-time, client management role that lies at the heart of an exciting extension of the consulting service offered by one of the world’s top strategy consultancies.
Energy Insights
objectives include:
  • Scaling up McKinsey’s global multi-client benchmarking service on front-line oil & gas performance
  • Streamlining McKinsey’s Due Diligence service to become the leading provider to Private Equity and other investors in oil & gas
  • Developing McKinsey’s fundamental analytical capabilities to provide in-depth macro-economic and industry insights

As a Benchmarking Manager with Energy Insights you will leverage in-depth sector/client expertise to build our benchmarking proposition and client footprint, manage projects and develop/nurture our pipeline of benchmark and diagnostic services. You will support companies tackling topics central to the CEO agenda such as operational performance improvement, global supply and demand, and investment strategies.

Desired Skills
Candidate requirements:
  • You will ideally have a background in consultancy, strategy and/or research, with exposure to, or an interest in Energy and ideally Oil and Gas 
  • You should be able to demonstrate excellent project and client management experience and will have first-class analytical and consulting skills, plus strong inter-personal skills. Proven business development skills as a consultant or within industry will be advantageous
  • You should have a good degree from a top tier university with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience and/or an MBA from a leading business school
