Primary Responsibilities

This candidate has expertise in 4 key areas:


  • From project conception to delivery, this candidate focuses on addressing business issues.
  • Pinpoint client key business issues/questions and propose, design and report accordingly
  • Understand and embrace the concept that less can be more

Management (clients and teams)

  • Leadership, training, personnel development, direct management to research managers/directors. 
  • Reviews and consults with Account Executives for mid to large program RFPs and projects.
  • Initiate and guide the development of the team’s knowledge and coach them in the use of analytical skills to conduct high quality research
  • Client point of contact, focused on meeting clients’ needs and works to build client relationships along with industry knowledge expertise
  • Identify specific areas for coaching and training, successfully mentor to ensure professional growth
  • Understanding of financial results and implications
  • Partners with Operations, Finance, Business Solutions, and other research managers within the sector on quality compliance, best practices, communication on segment state and process improvements

Research Fundamentals

  • Offers insights on lifecycle of research including proposals, applications/methods, execution and delivery. 
  • Ultimately responsible for delivering quality research that is expertly executed and presented in a synthesized and insightful manner
  • Strong project management skills

Brand & Communications

  • Strong understanding of Brand and Communications (including, but not limited to equity, tracking, ,segmentation, advertising assessment)
  • Ability to connect the dots between B&C and other practice areas such as Retail & Shopper and product/concept testing.

Required Experience

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelors or equivalent degree
  • 10+ years industry relevant experience
  • Strong story-telling expertise (from numbers to strategy)
  • Management, mentoring and partnership experience
  • Expertise in key areas of  research (understanding of operations, design, analysis, and delivery)
  • Brand and Communications expert
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Proficient in data analytic platforms (i.e., Survey Reporter, SPSS)
