Purpose of the role:
Implementation of all necessary operative tasks to guarantee maintenance of operation.
Run applications, services, platforms and network to deliver promised service portfolio according SLAs.
Key objectives of the role:
Incident resolution, Incident management;
Implementing changes, Change management;
Installation of new versions, patches;
Close customer contact during operative work;
Supplier management for incident related communication;
Documentation of all executed tasks in a ticket tool and CMDB;
Proactive capacity and performance management of systems and system components;
Support in planning and implementation of projects / new designs.
“MUST HAVE” knowledge and experience:
At least 3 years of working experience in IT
Excellent knowledge in administrating Enterprise Linux environments based on SLES, RHEL and OEL;
Excellent knowledge in Puppet/Foreman and Nagios monitoring;
Detailed understanding in elementary network areas (TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, SNMP, NFS);
Experience in virtual environments based on VMWare ESX;
Very good English language skills.
Considered as an advantage:
A certification (LPIC or similar);
Knowledge in administrating HDSF/Hadoop.
