Industry Analyst – Data Centre and Cloud Computing (Information & Communication Technologies)

Role: Industry Analyst – Data Centre and Cloud Computing (ICT)

  • The role will be based in the ICT Research team and will be focused on developing and writing analysis, forecasts and other content for the Asia-Pacific data centre and cloud computing research programme
  • You will be conducting primary research with service providers and vendors in each of the countries, or by partnering and directing research efforts with relevant country analysts in the local Frost & Sullivan office
  • You will be expected to develop a good understanding of the emerging products and technologies and their impact on the enterprise computing demand
  • You will be expected to make every effort to develop your own expertise and status as a recognised industry authority on your designated areas of expertise, on behalf of Frost & Sullivan
  • You will also be expected to present our research to clients and at conferences, and to undertake industry interviews on a regular basis as part of the research process
  • In addition part of your responsibility will be to provide direction, feedback and management to more junior members of the team, both for specific deliverables and potentially as line manager

Skills required

  • Relevant exposure and good understanding of the data centre and cloud computing markets, competitors, trends and customer issues
  • Researching skills, analytical skills, good clear writing skills, interviewing skills, presentation skills and client interfacing skills are all essential
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Powerpoint)
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years job experience in a market research firm, a market intelligence division of an IT company, or those having worked with an IT vendor / channel partner in mainstream sales, product marketing, business development or program marketing role
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills, does not necessarily need to have a strong education background/ experience in statistical analysis
  • Candidates must to be willing and open to travel
  • Fluency in a 2nd Asian language is an added advantage
