Front-end Technical Support Specialist



Key objective of the role and main responsibilities: 
  • Act as a first level technical support
  • Support stability, health and performance of related systems and processes
  • Maintain user accounts, access rights and licensing of specific company products and related web portals
  • Support roll-outs of products including beta testing, technical documentation and user training
  • Provide support to Hub system administrators and assist in technical monitoring tasks
  • Collaborate with the global project technology team and other local IT units
“MUST HAVE” knowledge and experience:           
  • University Degree in Informatics or related subject area (or last year student able to work on full time);
  • Minimum of 2 years related work experience (system administration, technical training, technical support)
  • Professional experience as Linux / Unix system administrator, preferably Debian
  • Proven administrative experience in Web CMS (e.g. Typo3)
  • Administrative experience in some of the following areas:
        –       MySQL database
        –       Monitoring and IT automation tools
        –       Virtualization (i.e. VMware)
        –       Issue tracking (i.e. JIRA)
  • Good English language skills, both written and spoken

Considered an advantage: 

  • Scripting knowledge
  • Apache Hadoop experience (i.e. HDFS, Hive, Pig);
  • Java knowledge
