 Nielsen IMS is the world’s leading provider of media and marketing software and analytic solutions.

Nielsen is seeking a strong and experienced sales and marketing professional to help sell and renew Nielsen’s media & marketing software solutions to advertising agencies, media companies, advertisers, and industry associations.  This person will be part of a high-caliber team in a business that is experiencing rapid and dramatic change. This person will be responsible for managing client and industry relationships, driving revenue growth, exceeding financial targets and managing Nielsen’s presence in the Canadian media community. 

Required Skills and Attributes:

Highly motivated and results oriented

Proven record of client retention as well as new business acquisition and development

Ability to manage agency and media accounts of all sizes

Ability to have a planning/marketing/research conversation with prospects and clients

Analytical and strategic thinking skills; strong ability to think conceptually

Ability to comprehensively demonstrate and present IMS systems

Work closely with product, support specialists, and delivery teams to ensure high levels of client satisfaction

Candidate should be familiar with Amalco and Numeris databases

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Professional and likeable demeanor,  enthusiastic and energetic team player

Sales administration including proposals, agreements, internal tracking systems

Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Salesforce, Planning tools

Provide accurate and timely pipeline/forecast updates to management.  Keep CRM systems updated with customer contact information

QUALIFICATIONS
 
10+ years’ experience with an understanding of the media planning, buying and allocation space

•  Extensive client engagement, retention and acquisition experience

•  Experience selling a complex, technology-based product or service and achieving significant revenue and market share growth within media, software and/or research sales

•  Experience  and familiarity  with ad research such as Nielsen, Numeris, Amalco,  ComScore along with Software as a Service (SaaS): Salesforce.com, Success Factors, Google, Digital Ad

•  Analytical and strategic thinking skills; strong ability to think conceptually

•  Ability to comprehensively demonstrate and present IMS systems

•  Post secondary undergraduate degree required
