Talent Management

  • Contribute to the design and development of a world class company
  • Ensure that business strategy, organisational design and HR strategy are aligned
  • Provide strategic direction in terms of management of key talent
  • Ensure structure allows growth, both at organisational and individual level
  • Develop job profiles that create “whole jobs” to meet company needs and goals
  • Coach and mentor management
  • Develop appropriate reward, incentive and recognition strategies in conjunction with the Board
  • Develop training strategy based on company goals
  • Career planning and counselling
  • Develop policy and advise on educational support in conjunction with Board
  • Implement  global, reward, incentive and recognition strategies in conjunction with Board
  • Provide a coaching/guiding role for performance management
  • Respond to trends through innovative HR solutions
  • Stay abreast of and respond appropriately to new labour legislation and policies
  • Implement participative management principles
  • Develop/implement comprehensive HR Policies and Procedures in conjunction with Board
  • Responsible for overall HR direction and policy implementation
  • Monitor HR policy implementation for consistency and appropriateness
  • Consult on HR issues in company as required (disciplinary and grievance hearings etc)
  • Provide appropriate HR management training and/or coaching
  • Create balance in job opportunity

  • Presents self to colleagues and the external world in a manner which is professional and reflects the values/‘face’ of TNS
  • Provide the team with strategic direction and insight
  • Pioneers new idea and creates new solutions
  • Explains complex issues in simple terms; aims to create understanding
  • Champions knowledge management procedures and policies within the organisation
  • Actively participates in creative workshops or knowledge sharing opportunities
  • Turns conceptual ideas into commercial reality
  • Sets a high standard of performance for others to follow
  • Proactively responsible for own learning and development
  • Promote team spirit
  • Maintains personal well-being and balance
  • Lead by example and live the Company’s Values of Passion, Trust, Simplicity, Partnership and Celebration

Minimum skills and knowledge:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (preferably a post graduate degree) 
  • Must have an excellent understanding of the needs of the research industry
  • Senior Management experience (5 years at Director level)
  • Commercial skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organization and Administration skills
  • Project Management skills
  • Training background would be advantageous
