Innovation and Product Development in the West Region

In our Innovation and Product Development practice we help them develop clear pathways to growth by assessing opportunities and threats and developing new offers with strong customer relevance.
About the Director, Account Executive role
The Director, AE is at the heart of our client relationships. Our most successful AEs act as trusted advisors to their clients, growing our own business results by delivering value and actionable insight.  The AE is the leader of our client service team, responsible for marshalling the expertise of 10,000s of professionals to win challenging assignments and insure we land relevant results with impact.
Here’s what success looks like:
  • Healthy, growing and profitable client engagements including a mix of:
    • Repeat business (happy clients)
    • Growth into new divisions of existing client organizations (happy clients telling their peers)
    • New engagements with clients of colleagues in other practices (happy colleagues telling their clients)
    • New client relationships (curious new clients)
  • Innovation in research approaches and analytic techniques to answer our clients’ business issues, meeting or exceeding their demand for more value delivered faster and at lower cost
  • A strong internal network domestically and internationally to marshal the massive resources of TNS, Kantar and WPP into an unfair competitive advantage
  • Championing our leadership in new mobile and social research tools to make sure our offer remains vibrant and relevant to the most sophisticated clients in the world
  • Thought leadership in innovation and new product development to spark our clients’ imaginations and to allow them to trust that we will deliver relevant insights in the language of their industry
  • Attention to costs and scope creep so that projects are executed profitably and on time
  • High client satisfaction scores and strong teamwork internally.

Requirements for role:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a professional services firm
    • Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree preferred
    • Expertise in market research and innovation process(es)
  • Innovation mindset: A natural curiosity for what’s next, a driving hunger to identify the next big thing and a deep to desire to develop from idea to impact
  • Demonstrated success in building strong client relationships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – written and verbal – including the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to diverse audiences
  • Sound commercial awareness and attention to profitability and managing a pipeline of business
  • Team player with excellent collaborative skills
