Description


 Responsibilities of the candidate include
  • Be responsible for a team of 6-12 developers and directs the work efforts of the team.
  • Determining the project approach, staffing, responsibilities and schedule.
  • Developing and/or reviewing estimates and estimating assumptions for the project’s schedule, effort, and cost using established models, best practices and benchmarks.
  • Define team member roles and expectations, and ensure timely feedback. Ensure project resources receive any necessary training and are used effectively.
  • Ensure all requirements and project plans are communicated to all affected team members.
  • Ensure the team’s assigned tasks are delivered.
  • Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets or exceeds expectations. Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality and risks. Make adjustments as necessary.
  • Act as Scrum Master in an agile project.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in leadership position: Team Lead, Development Manager/ Lead, Architect
  • Must have experience working in large scale development project
  • Preferably with experience in leading an offshore development team
  • Must have experience with software development methodologies (e.g. waterfall, iterative and incremental development, extreme programming, agile methodology)
  • Formal training and certification in agile project management courses will be of added advantage
  • Good working knowledge of software architectures
  • Strong motivation and proven ability to work independently
  • Has the personality of a good team player
  • Good communicator, fluent in English and ability to clearly express oneself
  • Highly passionate for software development, with interest in learning new technologies
  • Have positive attitude to meet new challenges
  • Applicants must be willing to work in PJ8, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

  • Ability to organize, delegate, and leverage resources to accomplish objectives
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Professional development skills, e.g. work planning and estimating
  • Strategic skills, such as business diagnosis and assessment
  • Supervisory skills
  • Collaboration skills, the ability to leverage support from other parts of the organization
  • Proven ability to lead a development team. Preferred technical skillset:
    • Knowledge in one of the following JavaScript frameworks will be helpful: AngularJS, Ember JS, ExtJS
    • Knowledge in developing web services (e.g. WCF, REST, Web API, ASP .NET)
    • Experience with database knowledge and Oracle PL/SQL (Oracle 10 above)
    • Experience using In-memory databases or embedded databases will be added advantage
    • Experience in writing C# and/or Java applications
    • Experience in writing unit tests in TDD approach
    • Experience in continuous integration (Jenkins)
    • Experience in performing automated unit tests and integration tests is welcome
  • Experience with UML Modeling using Enterprise Architect will be added advantage​
