Description


You will be responsible for providing detailed and accurate costs based on the study requirements, so you need to understand research methodologies, processes and procedures in relation to fieldwork across the region. Your understanding of cost drivers is essential with particular reference to fieldwork cost drivers (sample size, incidence, interview length, strike rates etc) and financial considerations (hourly rates, staff grades, etc), you will liaise with MCP Hubs, other TNS countries and local teams (Operations, Client Service and Financial Decision Makers) in an efficient, professional and friendly manner
Costings protocols: Responsible for providing detailed and accurate costs based on the study requirements,      Understand research methodologies, processes and procedures in relation to fieldwork
Strategic direction: Support on complex / large projects -develop strong relationships with team leaders to ensure involvement  in project design brainstorms for more complex or unusual projects, Act in an advisory capacity for complex costs and design
Cost checking and profitability support : Reviewing all costs in excess of agreed threshold, Identify cost and profitability trends across projects  , Understand when we are over or under and why
Leadership: training and coaching
To ensure costs are completed accurately and consistently across teams, working very closely with research teams to provide training (as required) to those preparing costs in each team, and to help provide guidance on VBP, Be available for queries on existing and new costs to readily share knowledge and support best practice approach to costing
Tertiary education, preferably a degree (B.Com, Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent), Excellent knowledge of Excel and Word, added advantage if have advanced Excel experience & skills, At least 5 years working experience , Sound knowledge of the research process and marketing research, previous research experience an advantage, Proven record & relevant costing/financial experience,  Proven commercial acumen
