Due to continuing company success, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious research/consulting professional to play a key role within the Automotive & Transportation practice of Frost & Sullivan. The practice is dedicated to partnering with leading industry players within the Chemicals and Food Ingredients business community, providing strategic market research and bespoke consulting solutions for clients across a diverse range of sectors and application markets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategically develop new business opportunities, enhancing and achieving revenue generation targets
  • Manage the delivery of Consulting engagements in accordance to strict deadlines
  • Proactively develop and manage client relationships by conducting detailed needs analysis and demonstrating expert industry knowledge
  • Project management of global client projects, including management of major consulting assignments from lead qualification through to client delivery
  • Support the management of A&T Consulting team, including driving the development of the team through strategic focus, innovative ideas, and implementation of best practice standards and processes
  • Assist the Practice leadership to continue to develop and deliver a compelling value proposition to the Chemicals and Food Ingredients industry

Business development role:

  • Conduct proactive business development within the Automotive & Transportation market
  • Provide key account management support to the Sales Team
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients at senior management level resulting in substantial repeat business
  • Promote entire the Frost & Sullivan solution including both syndicated research and bespoke consulting projects
  • Achieve a significant personal sales target

Consulting role:

  • Understand projects from the client’s perspective, including listening to the client requirements, challenging them where necessary and conceptualising them into a Frost & Sullivan solution
  • Lead and support proposal development, pricing and negotiation
  • Adopt a key leadership role, monitoring and motivating the project team
  • Delivery of project findings to clients, including interpretation of the business impact of findings
  • Work and maintain responsibility for a number of projects simultaneously, designing and managing projects from kick-off to completion as the key contact for the client and manager of the project team
  • Client and team coaching
  • Project evaluation throughout the entire process
  • Understand and manage client’s expectations
  • Contribute to internal development of Frost & Sullivan’s consulting offering, standards and processes

General:

  • Promote the Frost & Sullivan brand name
  • Represent Frost & Sullivan as a credible partnership company
  • Build strong internal working relationships across the company

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
The successful candidate will be a consultant with extensive experience in managing client engagements,a thorough understanding of the consulting business, market research methodologies (primary and secondary, etc), and with proven success in direct client interaction and project fulfilment. A pro-active, methodical and innovative working practice is essential, with a proven ability to deliverstrategic insights to clients in a fast pacedenvironment.
Essential:

  • Previous senior level consulting and/or market research experience within a Consultancy environment
  • A strong understanding of B2B market research and strategic consulting methodologies, within the A&T market
  • Good business development, client facing and deal closing skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and an ability to forge strong working relationships both internally and with clients
  • High level of business acumen, with the ability to interpret/analysis data and provide insight on how findings will impact key business issues
  • Experience in presenting findings to senior level executives within client organisations
  • Team mentoring experience
  • Strong project management and leadership skills with exposure to large, complex and pressured projects
  • Ability to work autonomously and also effectively in a team environment
  • A degree level education or equivalent

Desirable:

  • Post graduate qualification (PhD or MBA) in a related field
  • A second European language.
