Client Director – Health & Beauty




Salary: competitive

We’re looking for a talented Client Director to join a successful team in our Warwick office. This is a great opportunity to work with high profile brands in the Health & Beauty sector, and develop your career with the world’s leading Brand & Comms research agency.

At Millward Brown Client Directors are responsible for managing the day to day relationship with 3-5 of our key clients, 90% of which are from the world’s top 100 brands. Client Directors are tasked with delivering growth from these accounts, which is achievable through deepening client relationships, and “value add” delivery. They’ll also inspire others, leading a small team of more junior staff.

Client Managment

  • Owns complex and high profile client relationships on major accounts
  • Adopts the Millward Brown “GreenWorks” model (internal communication system) focusing on strong Discovery and Impact
  • Acts as Business Partner ensuring overall client satisfaction and revenue growth
  • Delivers “value by design” solutions using consultative selling approach
  • Delivers “meaningful impact” outputs that differentiate MB from its competitors
  • Utilises relevant sector insight to add incremental value and impact to delivery
  • Creates, executes & evolves the strategic account plan (SAP) in light of a combined business partner/growth objective 
  • Provides support to Senior Account Directors to drive excellence in client relationships and growth, ensuring a high level of client expertise is provided to the group of client accounts


  • Provides inspiring leadership and direction to their account teams:
  • Painting a clear vision for each account member so they fully understand their expected contribution & responsibility
  • Line manages & develops line reports through coaching, fully embracing PDP and providing current, direct, complete, and “actionable” positive and corrective feedback to others
  • Manages & mentors Directors within the team
  • Ensures that resource on accounts is productively utilised to deliver against key metrics of chargeability, overtime & client marketing   
  • Timely completion of P&D Cycle and timesheets
  • Meeting personal targets on chargeability, overtime & client marketing

Commercial Strategy

  • Builds account level strategy on major accounts, captured in Strategic Account Plans and through new business activities to deliver against:
    • client needs
    • financial plan
    • and MB strategic priorities
  • Ensures penetration across product/service portfolio with cross/up-sell including innovations
  • Works closely with the RDEP (Research Design Execution and Planning) team to generate client solutions, and excellent ptiches that grow the business and meet personal/team revenue targets
  • Activates Marketing campaigns within assigned accounts aligned to strategy
  • Lead the client relationship on major pitches/proposals for new clients, leveraging sector expertise and insight and owning the client value proposition
