We currently seek an Analyst/Senior Analyst to join our Business Technology Office practice at McKinsey’s North American Knowledge Center (NAKC) in Waltham, MA.

The Business Technology Office (BTO) at McKinsey engages with clients (top management, CIOs and COOs, across various verticals) around topics like ADM and Infrastructure transformations, Lean IT, Sourcing.
The Center of Competence supports the ADM (Application Development and Management) service line within the Business Technology Office (BTO) practice. The CoC members bring deep subject matter expertise strengthening our client proposition and delivery.  The CoC also serves as a centralized global knowledge hub of experts that own, maintain and deploy key proprietary knowledge assets of the service line. 

The primary job responsibilities of the Analyst would fall into three categories: 
(1) Supporting clients / client support teams as an ADM specialist
(2)  Developing and deploying standardized knowledge assets
(3) Collaborating and actively contributing to the work flow/activities within the global team.

As an Analyst/Sr. Analyst you will be working seamlessly with client teams remotely or onsite. Such on-site staffing could be regional or global in nature and will require flexibility to work across time zones and open to travel for short/long term assignments. You are expected to possess and build a good understanding of ADM processes and tools and have a drive for both process optimization and capability building.
Desired Skills
Education Background
  • MBAs (or equivalent) from reputed business schools and preferably a Bachelors degree in Technology/ Engineering,
 Specific Domain/Knowledge Requirement
  • 3-5 years of work experience in application / software development ( as a programmer, project manager , business analyst roles) and IT consulting (client facing roles)
  • Exposure to agile software development good to have. Experience in Lean IT is a plus
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of IT and software development processes
 Preferred Skill Set
  •  Excellent English communication skills – both written and oral
  • Strong capability to coach and mentor both internal and external customers
  • Professional attitude and service orientation
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a global team set-up
  • Superior problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
  • Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment
  • Candidates for this role should be entrepreneurial and self-starters who enjoy the challenges and rewards of working in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Compensation commensurate with work experience
